Welcome to Chișinău, the capital of Moldova — a city full of contrasts, hidden stories, and unexpected beauty.
Join a world traveler with experience in 170+ countries and a local guide perspective as you explore the city beyond the typical tourist paths. This is a walking tour designed to show you both the main landmarks and the hidden layers of Chișinău’s history and everyday life.
We will start in the city center, at Cathedral Park, one of the most important and peaceful places in Chișinău. Here you will see the Nativity Cathedral and the Triumphal Arch, symbols of the city’s identity and history.
From there, we continue through the main boulevard, discovering Soviet-era architecture and learning how the city evolved during different historical periods. You will hear real stories about life in Moldova during the Soviet Union and how it shaped the country today.
We will pass by the Stephen the Great Monument, an important national symbol, and continue into areas where locals live, work, and relax — away from the typical tourist routes.
Along the way, you will discover hidden corners, local insights, and everyday culture that most visitors never experience. Depending on the pace and interest, we can also stop for a coffee or a short introduction to Moldovan wine culture.
This tour is not just about seeing the city — it’s about understanding it through stories, history, and real local life. Perfect for travelers who want an authentic, immersive experience in Moldova’s capital.
