Easy to moderate daily walks of 3-7 hours through rhododendron forests, terraced fields, and traditional villages.

Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Sundarijal - Trek to Chisapani
Short drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal trailhead. Trek 4-5 hours through Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve, passing Tamang villages and rhododendron forests. Reach ridge-top Chisapani with stunning Himalayan views.

Day 02: Trek Chisapani to Nagarkot
Longest hiking day (6-7 hours) descending through lush forests and terraced fields. Pass traditional Newar and Tamang settlements, stopping for lunch in villages like Jule or Chauki Bhanjyang. Arrive at hilltop Nagarkot for spectacular sunset over Himalayas.

Day 03: Sunrise View - Trek to Changu Narayan - Drive to Kathmandu
Early morning Himalayan sunrise over Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu. After breakfast, descend 3-4 hours to ancient Changu Narayan Temple (4th century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, UNESCO World Heritage Site). Explore temple complex, then drive back to Kathmandu.
