Kibale National Park Chimpanzee Trekking, Culture, Farm tour

Head to Kibale National Park and Track chimpanzees- Human's closest relatives in their natural habitant, stay on a coffee farm, Wanderlust into authentic African culture in the Rubalika community!
Depart early morning from Kampala City/Entebbe and arrive at Rubalika Safari Lodge and Farm in time for a 3-course meal lunch. Take a rest, and recover the body to prepare for a relaxed farm and nature trail around the lodge environment later on.
Embark on a quarter farm and nature trail at the lodge. On an immersive trail, explore the lodge’s coffee farm. Participate in the entire coffee value chain from coffee plant propagation to making your own cup of coffee.
Proceed on the trail and discover a centuries-old path used by the forest elephants of Kibale Forest National Park. Your guide will help you learn about the difference between the African savannah and African forest elephants.
Sit for a complimentary jungle high tea and snacks at a surprise jungle location. This is a great stop to just take in raw nature, relax, and reflect.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking
Rise early for a hot or packed breakfast and head to the visitor center for the briefing exercise by the government rangers on the entire chimpanzee experience. Along the way, catch an incredible sunrise over the horizon as the sun moves east towards west. Keep this memory as you shall need it later in the day.

ENTER the lush green forest to find the chimpanzees and other primates in their natural habitat. This is the most premier chimpanzee experience in the world, that allows close proximity to wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat, in sheer numbers that can be found nowhere else in the world.

After lunch, start your journey back to the lodge, while exploring the many crater lakes in the region. Continue towards the lodge as you enjoy some of the most dramatic, geographically scenic views, and rural communities going about their daily lives.

Day 3: Local Food Lunch Experience, Village Exploration, and Departure to Kampala/Entebbe
Rise early and have a true sunrise live cooking breakfast in one of the farm locations. After breakfast, head to the community family to explore the daily life and African culinary journey.

Immerse yourself into the African cuisine experience from one of the community members specialized in preparing local foods of the Toro Kingdom and Uganda as a whole. Plant food for future visitors, harvest food for your lunch. Sit down with the local people and together prepare the food, light the fire, and cook your food.

As your food is cooking, for roughly 2 hours, head out for a walk in the Rubalika village, visit village businesses, places of worship, lodge-supported community coffee gardens, and lodge-supported school in the community. All these activities shall enrich your experience and understanding of basic rural life living in a typical African village, along with many surprises.
