Uganda: 3-Day Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi Budget Tour

Embark on a 3-day tour from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Bunyonyi. Trek to see gorillas, enjoy a boat cruise, and relax at a resort overlooking the lake.
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Kampala. Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. Stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and a water experiment, and have lunch in Mbarara town. Arrive at the park in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters in the Rushaga sector for a briefing by a ranger guide. Then, hike into the forest in search of mountain gorillas. Spend one hour with these incredible creatures, observing them in their natural habitat.

After the gorilla trek, travel to Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive in the evening and relax at a resort overlooking the lake. Alternatively, take a boat cruise on Uganda’s deepest lake, visiting some of its 29 islands and spotting various water birds.

On the final day, enjoy a cheerful breakfast before transferring back to Kampala. Stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for more photos and the local water experiment. Have lunch en route, then proceed to Kampala or Entebbe Airport for your departure.
