Enjoy your stay in Colca Canyon with a local family, where you'll be warmly welcomed to learn about their customs, traditions, local language, and typical cuisine.
At 3:00 am, we'll start our tour of the Colca Canyon by picking you up at your hotel. We'll then travel for 3 hours to Chivay, where we'll have breakfast. After that, we'll head to the narrowest and deepest part of the canyon to see the magical flight of condors and admire the imposing landscapes surrounded by high mountains. We'll then take a break at the thermal baths for an hour. After that, we'll return to Chivay for lunch. Then, we'll be transferred to the local community, where the assigned family will welcome us to their home. We'll participate in the local experience, prepare dinner with local products, and have a pleasant rest in a rustic house.
On the second day, we'll have breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and then take a walk to the archaeological center, which dates back to pre-Hispanic times. From there, you'll be able to admire the valley's landscape and its active volcanoes. After that, we'll head back to say goodbye to the house and return to Arequipa, arriving around 5:00 p.m. near the main square.
