Palccoyo Mountain and Stone Forest Guided Excursion (Full Day)

Discover the second colorful mountain called Palccoyo + the red river in the rainy season in 1 day. Effortlessly visit the incredible stone formation and take in a unique landscape in Cusco.
We'll start the tour by picking you up from your accommodation or hotel in Cusco at approximately 4:00 am. Then, we'll travel by vehicle for 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach the first stop, the village of Cusipata, where we'll have a delicious breakfast buffet.

After breakfast, we'll continue our 2-hour journey to the Pallcoyo Mountain bus parking lot. During the trip, you'll be able to explore the beautiful Andean landscape with sightings of birds, llamas, and alpacas in their natural habitat. At the same time, you'll be able to observe the Rio Rojo, also called the Rio Salcca, in the rainy season.

Once at the Pallcoyo mountain bus parking lot, we'll start the hike with our expert tour guide. The hike will last 45 minutes to 1 hour to visit the colorful mountain viewpoint and the stone forest. From the viewpoints, you'll be able to appreciate the incomparable landscape of the Peruvian Andes and the mountain with its natural colors.

Once the whole group is back at the bus parking lot, we'll head back to Cusipata for a delicious buffet lunch with fresh products. The ride takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Then we'll head back to Cusco, finishing the tour at approximately 4:30 p.m., about one block from the main square for the whole group.
