Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Funchal, Caniço, or Câmara de Lobos. Travel to Pico do Arieiro, where your driver will provide key instructions, explain the route map, and go through the recommended timing for the day.
Set off on the famous PR1 route independently, hiking for around 3,5-4 hours from Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo and onward to Achada do Teixeira, covering approximately 7 km. Enjoy the freedom to explore at your own pace, taking in the stunning mountain scenery along the way. This is a tour of a lifetime!
After your hike, meet your driver at the Achada do Teixeira car park for a comfortable return transfer to your hotel.
