Depart from Inverness and enjoy an action-packed day at one of Scotland’s Highland Games 2026. Taking place in towns and villages across the Highlands, each gathering showcases traditional sports, music, and dance, all set against breathtaking scenery.
The Highland Games are a celebration of strength, skill, and tradition, with roots stretching back over 900 years. Expect a fantastic spectacle of Highland dancing, pipe bands, hammer throwing, tug-of-war, and caber tossing.
Take a day tour from Inverness to the Highland Games and travel to a range of gatherings across Scotland, each with its own local character and atmosphere. Highlights include a special visit to the world-famous Braemar Gathering, taking place in September, and attended by the Royal Family since Queen Victoria in 1848.

Return time for Gordon Castle & Forres Games is 5pm, Braemar and Lonach Games return at 7:45pm.
Weather can be unpredictable, so dress accordingly.
Minimum age to travel is 5 years old, while anyone aged 5-17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note that itinerary order may change.
Travel insurance is recommended.
We advise you to organise transport to the departure point in advance and make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in; late arrivals cannot be refunded and we cannot delay departure.
Return times are approximate and subject to weather/travel conditions - allow at least 3 hours for onward travel or reservations.
Each traveller may bring 1 suitcase (max 33lbs/15kg) and 1 carry-on.
Collapsible wheelchairs are allowed if you are accompanied by someone to assist with boarding.
The tour may operate with our sister company, HAGGiS Adventures.
If you are using an audio guide, please bring your headset.
Meet 15 minutes before departure, across from Victorian Market entrance. Look for a blue or yellow bus.
