Then, ride like a local on a public bus to Nyamirambo, one of Kigali’s oldest and liveliest neighborhoods. See how people move around and experience Kigali from the ground level—safe, fun, and very local.

Nyamirambo is full of life, colorful houses, street food, barber shops, local fashion, and music. It’s home to Kigali’s Muslim community and many women’s cooperatives. Walk through the streets, meet friendly locals, and learn how daily life feels here. Stop for snacks like sambusas or chapati at a local food stall.

After Nyamirambo, hop on another public bus/motorbike and ride to Kimironko Market, one of the busiest and most colorful markets in Kigali. Your guide will help you explore the fresh food stalls, tailor section, fruit sellers, and clothing vendors. Try fruits like passion fruit, mango, or pineapple, or buy a small souvenir.
