Day 1: Djerba, Tataouine, Ksar Hadada, Ksar Ghilane & Sahara

Begin your adventure with pickup from your hotel in Djerba. Cross the ancient Roman causeway and travel through the landscapes of southern Tunisia, stopping near the Chahbania salt lake before reaching the Tataouine region.

Discover Ksar Hadada, one of Tunisia’s best-known Star Wars filming locations, used in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. Continue to Ksar Ouled Soltane, a spectacular fortified Berber granary and one of the most impressive ksour in southern Tunisia.

Travel deeper south to Ksar Ghilane, a beautiful oasis at the gateway to the Sahara, where you will have time to enjoy the desert surroundings and lunch. Continue through Douz before reaching Dunes Insolites Desert Camp in Sabria.

Settle into your tent, enjoy traditional mint tea, and watch the sunset over the Sahara dunes. Optional camel riding, quad biking, and 4x4 desert experiences are available at an extra cost.

In the evening, experience traditional Saharan hospitality with a Mella sand-bread demonstration, local dinner, folkloric entertainment, equestrian show, and campfire beneath the stars. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp surrounded by the silence of the Sahara.

Day 2: Sahara, Chott El Jerid, Tozeur, Mos Espa & Ong Jmel

After breakfast, leave the camp and cross the spectacular Chott El Jerid, Tunisia’s vast salt lake known for its surreal landscapes and desert mirages.

Continue toward Tozeur and Nefta for one of the highlights of your Star Wars adventure: exploring the desert landscapes used to create the planet Tatooine.

Discover Mos Espa, the famous Star Wars set built in the Tunisian desert for The Phantom Menace. Walk among the remaining sets and experience one of the most recognizable Star Wars locations in Tunisia.

Continue to Ong Jmel, surrounded by dramatic rock formations and spectacular desert scenery featured in the Star Wars universe. After exploring the Tozeur and Nefta desert, transfer to your hotel in the Tozeur region for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Tozeur, Matmata, Sidi Driss & Djerba

After breakfast, travel toward Matmata, famous for its lunar landscapes and traditional underground Berber homes. Visit the legendary Hotel Sidi Driss, one of Tunisia’s most iconic Star Wars filming locations. Its underground rooms were used as the interior of the Lars Homestead, the Tatooine home associated with Luke Skywalker.

Enjoy lunch at Hotel Sidi Driss before discovering more of Matmata, including a traditional troglodyte dwelling and the unique Berber architecture of the region. In the afternoon, begin the return journey to Djerba, arriving at your hotel in the evening.
