Upon arrival, discover why Bruges is known as “the Venice of the North” and why its entire historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marvel at highlights such as the romantic Lake of Love (Minnewater), the 13th-century Begijnhof, and Walplein Square, a perfect spot to enjoy the local atmosphere.
Walk along Stoofstraat, see the medieval Old St. John’s Hospital, admire the Church of Our Lady with its impressive brick tower, and pass by iconic landmarks like Gruuthuse Palace and the Dijver Canal. Visit Rozenhoedkaai, one of the most photographed corners of the city, and explore Market Square (Grote Markt) with its famous Belfry.
