Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel or guest house and head to Angkor Wat, the largest Hindu temple, built in the 12th century. After Angkor Wat, drive over 30 kilometers through the village and rice-paddy fields in the countryside to visit Banteay Srei temple, also known as the Ladies Temple. Built from pink sandstone in the 10th century by Hindu King Rajendravarman II, the temple is dedicated to the trinity of Hindu gods, mainly Shiva.
After a busy morning, take a lunch break at a local restaurant nearby. After lunch, head to Pre Rup Temple, constructed in the late 10th century and dedicated to Hindu gods. This reflects the common belief among Cambodians that funerals were conducted at the temple.
Then, continue to see temples on the Small Circle, such as Ta Prohm, a temple with many gigantic tree roots that was featured in the Hollywood movie "Tomb Raider." Continue to Ta Nei and visit the city of Angkor Thom, which covers the Bayon Temple. This is the highlight temple in the center of Angkor Thom city with 49 towers, each with 4 faces, meaning there are 196 faces of Buddhistsatva Avalokestesvara.
Then, continue walking to the next nearby Hindu Baphoun temple, built before Angkor Wat in the 11th century. Behind this temple, see the big Reclining Buddha, built later in the 16th century. Continue walking to see the Royal Enclosure Wall, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace, and Palilay. Finally, return to your hotel.
