Huijing Garden is a serene classical Chinese garden with pavilions and flowing water. Take a boat to the Misty Rain Pavilion (Yanyu Lou) which stands elegantly on the water, known for its poetic charm. Enjoy a lakeside stroll and appreciate the cultural significance of this historic spot.
Nanhu Tiandi Lifestyle District. A trendy commercial area built from repurposed old buildings. Here you’ll find boutiques, cafés, and a variety of lunch options - from local specialties to fusion cuisine. This is a great place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the fusion of tradition and modern life.
Zicheng City Ruins Park. Step into Jiaxing’s ancient past, the historic center of the old city. You’ll see remnants of ancient city walls, stone inscriptions, and historic bridges shaded by trees. It’s a peaceful place that reveals the depth of Jiaxing’s heritage.
Xiexijie Siu Mai. Sample one of Jiaxing’s signature snacks—Xiexijie-style Siu Mai. These open-top dumplings are juicy and savory, beloved by locals for breakfast or afternoon tea. You’ll experience the authentic flavors of the region in a cozy, local atmosphere.
End the day at Yuehe Old Street, one of Jiaxing’s most charming cultural quarters. Visit the Zongzi Museum to learn about the history of this beloved sticky rice delicacy. Try or purchase famous snacks at Zhenzhenlaolao, a time-honored brand for rice dumplings and pastries.
