With over 1,700 years of history, Zhujiajiao offers a rare look at traditional Jiangnan (south of the Yangtze River) life — stone bridges, narrow lanes, canals, and courtyard houses that have remained largely unchanged since the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Meet your local Shanghai guide, who will be your cultural interpreter for the day. Set off on a 2-hour guided walk through the town, learning about traditional water town architecture, feng shui principles, and the stories behind stone bridges, canals, and old residences.
