This name is also attached to a volcanic peak there (Mount Krakatau).
Mount Krakatoa, also known as Krakatoa, is one of the most famous volcanoes in the world. Located in the Sunda Strait, Indonesia, this mountain has attracted the attention of explorers, scientists and tourists for years. Around 1930, a landmass was formed which was named Child Krakatau. This new land continues to grow in width and height due to volcanic activity. Now, its height has reached 450 meters with a diameter of about three kilometers.
