Experience the world of sumo wrestling in Kyoto with a live demonstration and the chance to challenge a wrestler.
Discover one of Japan’s most iconic traditions through an exciting and interactive sumo experience in Kyoto. Get closer to the world of sumo as real wrestlers demonstrate the techniques, movements, and traditions that make this centuries-old sport so unique. Then, feel the energy of live sumo matches taking place just a few meters away.
Throughout the experience, an English-speaking host will introduce the rules, customs, and fascinating world of sumo in a fun and easy-to-understand way. No previous knowledge of sumo is needed.
Selected guests will have the chance to step into the ring and challenge a sumo wrestler themselves. It’s a rare opportunity to experience their incredible size, strength, and power firsthand — and one of the most memorable moments of the show.
After the action, meet the wrestlers up close and take photos together to remember your time in Kyoto.
