Explore Yaxchilan, Bonampak, and the Lacandon Jungle on a 2-day tour that includes a boat ride, a guided hike with a native Lacandon Mayan, and an overnight stay in cabins surrounded by nature.
Enjoy a comprehensive 2-day experience in the Lacandon Jungle, combining archaeology, nature, and local culture in a single tour.

On the first day, you will be picked up from your hotel in Palenque at 5:30 AM. After a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, you will enjoy a buffet breakfast before continuing on to the Mexico–Guatemala border.

Afterwards, you will board a motorboat for a 45-minute cruise along the Usumacinta River to Yaxchilán, an ancient Mayan city surrounded by rainforest, where you will have approximately 2 hours to explore. Afterwards, you will return by boat to the border, where there will be a stop at a restaurant for free time for lunch (not included).

The tour continues to Bonampak, where you will change vehicles to enter the archaeological site and admire its famous Mayan murals.

Afterward, you will head to the campsite in Lacanjá Chansayab, where you will spend the night in cabins located within the rainforest, surrounded by a unique natural environment.

On Day 2, after breakfast, you will go on a guided hike in the Lacandon Jungle, where you will be able to observe the flora, fauna, birds, and wildlife. You will also visit an archaeological mound still covered by vegetation and have the opportunity to swim in the Lacanjá River.

At the end of the activities, you will return to the camp to enjoy an included lunch. Afterwards, you will have free time to relax, walk around the community, enjoy the natural surroundings, or unwind in the hammock area by the river.

Finally, you will board the transport to return to Palenque.
