Discover Jingshan Park in Beijing with this entry ticket. Explore the royal garden, admire panoramic views, and visit historical sites like the Wufang Pavilion and Qiwang Tower.
Visit Jingshan Park, a royal garden from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, and a key cultural heritage site in China. Covering an area of approximately 23 hectares, with a mountain height of 43 meters, it was officially opened in 1928.
Head to the Wanchun Pavilion, located at the peak of Jingshan Middle Peak, the highest point of Beijing's central axis, with an altitude of about 94 meters. Enjoy a 360° panoramic view, overlooking the Forbidden City to the south, the Bell and Drum Tower to the north, the White Pagoda of Beihai to the west, and the CBD to the east.
Next, visit the Wufang Pavilion (Ridge Wuting), symmetrically arranged along the ridge from east to west. See the Zhou Guanting (Dongyi), a double-eaved round pavilion with blue glazed tiles, the Guanmiao Pavilion (East Second), an octagonal double-eave pavilion with green glazed tiles, the Wanchun Pavilion (center), the largest, with triple eaves and yellow glazed tiles, the Jifang Pavilion (West Second), an octagonal double-eave pavilion with green glazed tiles, and the Fulan Pavilion (West One), a double-eaved round pavilion with blue glazed tiles.
Continue to the Qiwang Tower (inside the south gate), a two-story tower with yellow tiles and red walls, starting from the southern end of the central axis. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a place for ancestral worship where Confucius' tablet was enshrined.
See the Shouhuang Hall (North Central Axis), the second largest architectural complex on the central axis of Beijing, a royal ancestral worship site during the Qing Dynasty. The main hall has a double-eaved pavilion roof, with an exhibition of portraits of emperors and empresses inside, and a supporting hall storing sacrificial objects.
Visit the crooked-necked locust tree on the east slope of Jingshan Mountain, where Emperor Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty hanged himself. See the monument and fence erected for protection.
Finally, see other historical sites, including Yongsi Hall, a temporary resting place for the emperor and empress, now featuring an exhibition of ancient architecture, Guande Hall, a place for archery and martial arts appreciation during the Qing Dynasty, often hosting cultural exhibitions, and Guandi Temple, on the east side, where Guan Yu is worshipped, and an ancient stele is stored in the accompanying hall.
