Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Gurje Bhanjyang, the starting point of the hike, situated at the edge of the national park. As you ascend gently through cool pine forests and rhododendron groves, the trail offers panoramic vistas of the Kathmandu Valley to the south and snowcapped peaks like Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Manaslu to the north on clear days.

After about 2 to 2.5 hours of moderate walking, reach Surya Chaur, a wide grassy meadow perched at approximately 2,100 meters elevation.
