The journey typically begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a small mountain airstrip perched on a steep hillside. As you trek higher, you pass through rhododendron forests, cross hanging suspension bridges, and enjoy close-up views of peaks such as Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Lhotse.
