Explore the main sites of Chavín's archaeological monument, including its square and circular plazas, and learn about its remarkable development.
- Our excursion will kick off with hotel pickup (located near Huaraz's main square) at 8:30 a.m.
- We'll journey towards the Monument, passing through towns like Recuay, Ticapampa, and Catac, traversing the Cordillera Blanca, and briefly halting at Laguna Querococha.
- Continuing our itinerary, we'll pass through the Cahuish tunnel and the Alley of Conchucos until we reach Chavín city. There, we'll explore the Chavín archaeological complex, including its main attractions like the circular plaza, the castle, the labyrinths, and the renowned sandeel.
- A visit to the Chavín museum will provide deeper insights into the development of Peru's earliest high Andean culture.
- We'll conclude our tour by returning to Huaraz, with an estimated arrival time of around 7:00 p.m.
