1. Early Departure – 3:00 a.m.
Your day begins with a 3:00 a.m. pickup at Plazoleta Regocijo, followed by a scenic five-hour journey toward the remote community of Phinaya, passing through striking Andean highland landscapes.
2. Phinaya Arrival & Approach to the Quelccaya Glacier
Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast before continuing by vehicle for about one hour to the base of Quelccaya, the world’s largest tropical glacier.
A short, easy 15-minute walk brings you directly to the glacier, where you can observe suspended ice formations, blue ice caverns, and spectacular snow structures—an unmatched Andean experience.
️ 3. Lunch & Stop at Sibinacocha Lagoon
After exploring the glacier, return to Phinaya for a regional Andean lunch.
The route back to Cusco includes a stop at Sibinacocha Lagoon, one of the most expansive and visually stunning lakes in the Andes.
4. Return to Cusco – Approx. 9:00 p.m.
The tour concludes with an evening arrival in Cusco at around 9:00 p.m.
