When booking, you pay ONLY FOR THE SAFARI through GetYourGude. Then PAY FOR THE TAXI (From Galle to Tissamaharama and From Tissamaharama to Galle) US$-100 (up to 3 guests) with Visa/ Master or SL Rupees at Ajith Safari Office in Tissamaharam, before starting the Safari. Beyond 3 guests, TAXI FEE will be increased, US$42 Per Person.

In this tour, we are aiming to be in the YALA National Park at dawn or dusk. These are two of the best times of the day, which gives you the highest chance of spotting the elusive Sri Lankan leopards, which is a leopard subspecies native to Sri Lanka. YALA is recognized as the National Park with the highest leopard density in the world.

What happens on a typical day on safari?

A. Pick-up time at 2.30 a.m. - in and around the Hikkaduwa/ Galle/ Unawatuna/ Talpe/ Dodanduwa/ Rathgama area. All pick up times - (Morning Safari - 2.30 a.m. / 3.00 a.m. / Afternoon Safari - if you want to have lunch before the safari select 11.00 a.m. / else 11.30 a.m.)
The first time in the Morning Safari (2.30 a.m.) is the most recommended. Please adjust the times in the itinerary according to the pickup time you select.
Transfer vehicle is an Air-conditioned car or minivan with luggage space and on SHARING BASIS.

B. Get down from the Taxi at Tissamaharama.
Make the payment for the Taxi & Meals (if requested) at Ajith Safari Jeep Tours Office.
Get into the SHARED SAFARI VEHICLE - at around 5.30 a.m.
You can safely leave your luggage in the taxi, while you are enjoying the safari.
Here, you can have 30 minutes break to have lunch before the safari by selecting the 11.30 a.m. pickup time in Afternoon Safari.

C. Morning Wildlife Safari/ 1st Game Drive (Starting at 6.00 a.m.)

D. Break at Patanangala Beach in YALA National Park (20-30 minutes)
This will give you time to enjoy your breakfast

E. Morning Wildlife Safari/ 2nd Game Drive (Ending at around 9.30 a.m.)

F. Get down from the safari vehicle and get into the Taxi - at Tissamaharama at around 10.00 a.m.

G. Drop-off time at around 12.30 p.m. - in the same place where you have picked up.

Your safety and comfort is our top priority, so we use only the rugged Toyota Hilux 4x4 vehicles for the safari, specially equipped to navigate the YALA National Park.
