Discover one of the world's oldest coffee traditions in a relaxed one-hour session at Broadbeach Community Centre in Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast.
Your host introduces Turkish coffee - where it comes from and how it has been shared for centuries - and shows you how to measure finely ground coffee, water and sugar to taste. You then brew your own cup in a copper cezve on a hot sand station, watching the foam slowly rise.
Enjoy your coffee with Turkish delight and baklava, and finish with a fun coffee fortune reading from the grounds left in your cup.
No experience is needed and all equipment is provided. The session is ideal for friends, couples, solo travelers and anyone curious about Turkish coffee culture.
