Zhangjiajie Express Trip: Avatar, Tianmen, Furong Stay/Back Option 1: Return to Zhangjiajie

Private Zhangjiajie day tour to the Avatar Mountains, Bailong Elevator, Golden Whip Stream, Tianmen Cave, and Furong Waterfall, with a flexible option to stay overnight in Furong Ancient Town.

July and August are the peak season, so advance booking is strongly recommended to secure your tickets in time.

Hotel pickup is generally between 6:30–7:30 AM. The exact pickup time will be confirmed the evening before, based on traffic and visitor volume that day.

■ Zhangjiajie National Forest Park | Guided (Approx. 4 hours)
Visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and take the Bailong Elevator, the world’s highest outdoor elevator, up to Yuanjiajie.
Follow the cliffside walkway to viewpoints such as Mihun Platform, with sweeping views of the surrounding peak forests and the famous Avatar Hallelujah Mountain.
Descend to Golden Whip Brook for a relaxed 40-minute walk through lush, shaded forest, with towering rock walls and a cool, refreshing atmosphere.

■ Tianmen Mountain | Guided (Approx. 3 hours)
Ride the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car, soaring over deep valleys and the famous 99-Bend Road, with views of the mountain landscape and cityscape below.
Visit Tianmen Cave, a natural arch through the mountain. Choose to take the escalator or climb the 999 steps. Stand within the opening and gaze outward—drifting mist, open sky, and ridgelines are set inside its natural frame.

■ Furong Town | Self-Guided
After the tour, your guide will escort you to Zhangjiajie Station for the approx. 30-minute high-speed train to Furong Town.
Upon arrival at Furong Station, your driver will meet you and help you collect your admission tickets before continuing with your chosen option:

⭐ Option 1: Return to Zhangjiajie
Your driver will transfer you to Furong Town. Spend the evening exploring the old streets, traditional riverside architecture, and the illuminated Furong Waterfall at your own pace.
Afterwards, your driver will take you back to Furong Station for the high-speed train to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival at Zhangjiajie West Station, a vehicle will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Travelers staying an extra day can request a recommended route, map, and assistance arranging a self-guided second visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (ticket valid for two days).
Note: The park includes both streamside trails and mountain-top routes. Additional cable car and elevator fees for mountain-top routes are not included and can be paid on site.

⭐ Option 2: Overnight in Furong
Your driver will provide a one-way transfer to your hotel or the scenic area entrance. Enjoy a relaxed evening in Furong Town and take your time exploring the area.

On Day 2, continue independently by high-speed rail from Furong Town Station. Trains to Zhangjiajie run only in the afternoon (approx. 30 min), while trains to Fenghuang Ancient Town (approx. 30 min) and Changsha (approx. 3 hours) are available in both the morning and afternoon.
