Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from the airport or train station in Zhangjiajie. Check into a local inn near the North Gate Ticket Station of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
The next day, depart from the inn and take a private car directly to Tianzishan, the highest point of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Enjoy a dedicated park shuttle bus to the core scenic spots, exclusively for you and your companions.
Take a 35-minute bus ride from the North Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park to Tianzishan He Long Park. During summer, the sunrise usually occurs before 5:00 a.m., and during winter, it's before 5:30 a.m. After arriving at the sunrise viewing point, you will have nearly 3 hours of free time.
Be on the peak of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, overlooking the 3,000 odd peaks. The sunrise rises from the sea of clouds among the peaks, dyeing the sky red. This moment is incredibly breathtaking. After the sunrise, continue to visit the West Sea Peak Forest, Fairy Scattering Flowers, He Long Park and other scenic spots.
After finishing the tour of Tianzishan, take the scenic area shuttle bus to reach the Sky Farm. This is the best place in Zhangjiajie to view the sea of clouds and take photos. Then, take the scenic area shuttle bus to the parking lot of the World's First Bridge.
In the afternoon, have three hours of free time to explore the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. Here, experience the most representative Avatar-like landforms of Zhangjiajie, including the Pillar of Heaven and the First Bridge in the World.
Descend the mountain in the afternoon and arrive at the ticket station at the North Gate (by taking the scenic area shuttle bus). Return to any location within the urban area after 4 p.m.
