Travel through the endless Salinas Grandes salt flats, located 3,500 meters above sea level and stretching for 212 km. Marvel at the vibrant Cerro de los 7 Colores in Purmamarca and the landscapes of the Cuesta de Lipán.
This excursion will delight us with the variety and contrast of the landscapes we will visit. We will leave Salta on Route 9, heading for the town of Purmamarca, where, after a rest stop, we will begin to climb the Cuesta de Lipan, which will take us 25 km up to an altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level, surrounded by impressive landscapes. From there, we will descend to the majestic Salinas Grandes, where we will meet the salt workers, who will teach us about their craft. On the way back, we will be able to appreciate the native fauna, including llamas and vicuñas. Once back in Purmamarca, where we will have lunch, we will visit Los Colorados, an imposing formation located behind the Cerro de los 7 Colores (Hill of Seven Colors). After touring the town, we will begin our return to Salta through the same route.
