Many of the trees here are centuries old, their thick canopies blocking out most of the sunlight, keeping the entire park cool and lush even in the height of summer. At the heart of the park lies Hupao Spring. Legend has it that tigers once dug the ground here and brought the spring to life—hence the name. The water quality is exceptional, and for generations, locals have been coming here with large jugs to collect it for brewing tea at home. When your legs grow tired, a small tea house sits right beside the spring, where we also have coffee ready for you to take a relaxing break. Around 2:00 PM, Cuiyue Hall hosts daily performances—though the program changes each day. It might be a stage play celebrating the famous pairing of Hupao water with Longjing tea, known locally as one of the "Two Wonders of West Lake." Or it could be a tea ceremony demonstration, traditional dance, or folk music performance. Each day brings a different cultural surprise—like opening a mystery box.

On any given afternoon, you'll see brides and grooms in full attire posing among the trees—and that alone speaks volumes about how stunning this place truly is.
