Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel and head to one of Cyprus’ best coastal areas, including Ayia Napa, Protaras, Cape Greco, Larnaca, and the Akamas Peninsula. The exact location is selected according to weather, sea conditions, participant experience, and the best conditions available on the day.

Receive a safety and equipment briefing covering freediving, equalization, spearfishing techniques, use of the equipment, and underwater communication. Safety is based around a strict one-up, one-down buddy system. Only one member of each buddy team dives at a time while the other remains at the surface monitoring them. Spearguns and selected equipment are shared between buddies, allowing one participant to actively dive while the other provides surface safety.

Follow your guide through natural Mediterranean fishing grounds and learn how to move efficiently and quietly through the water, identify suitable fish, understand basic hunting techniques, and observe how an experienced freediver approaches spearfishing.

Participants who demonstrate sufficient freediving ability and can safely and comfortably reach the depth at which the group is fishing may be given the opportunity to attempt spearfishing themselves under supervision. Nobody is pressured to reach a particular depth or take a shot. Less experienced participants can enjoy the entire excursion by snorkeling, making shallower dives, and observing the action.

The experience focuses on responsible and selective spearfishing, respect for marine life, safety, and enjoying the underwater environment rather than simply catching as many fish as possible. Cooking the catch is included.
