Discover the herbs and medicinal plants on an excursion to Roque Nublo to see the island's most iconic landmark.
Roque Nublo is a mystical place used in ancient times for spiritual gatherings by the Canarian aborigines, the Canarí.
Our hike begins on the east side of Roque Nublo with stunning views of the neighboring island of Tenerife and Mount Teide, the highest mountain in Spain at 3,718 m. We start our day of trekking by walking directly through a small forest of Canarian pines, while looking down over Tejeda and Artenara, the cave village. We continue walking along an ancient "royal road", alongside a variety of herbs and medicinal plants.
Upon reaching the plateau 1,750 meters below Roque Nublo, we will finally see this unique monolith up close, standing at 68 meters high. You can feel the absolute uniqueness of this place.
After our short picnic, we continue our hike to finish in the village of Ayacata, where we make a brief stop for refreshments or a restroom visit.

This excursion runs every Tuesday.
Trekking shoes are necessary and essential. If you are unsure whether your footwear is suitable, please do not hesitate to ask us for the necessary sizes and we will bring them. Shoes are available for hire for €5 per pair.
If you arrive at the excursion pick-up point wearing footwear that is not permitted, the company reserves the right to refuse admission and no refund will be given.
