Discover Charleston’s role in American and world history, from its colonial beginnings and the American Revolution to the Civil War, the history of slavery, and the city’s ongoing preservation efforts. Along the way, learn about the people, events, and architecture that shaped one of America’s oldest cities.

Depending on availability, guests may enter 1–3 historic sites during the tour. These may include historic churches and theaters that remain active and in use by their congregations and communities. Site entry is subject to availability.
