Your captain and first mate handle all the boating so you can relax and take in the color. Peak foliage along the Maine coast typically runs from late September through mid-October, and the bay is noticeably quieter once the summer crowds thin out after Labor Day — making it a great time to see the islands and shoreline from the water. Tell your captain what you'd like to see and they'll build the route around it, whether that's a loop past the islands or closer to shore for the best views of the changing trees.
Light snacks, soft drinks, and a cooler are included, and you're welcome to bring your own food, drinks, wine, or champagne. Choose a 2-hour or 4-hour charter for up to 6 guests, departing from one of several convenient Portland waterfront locations. Fall charters run into October — dress warmly, as it's cooler on the water this time of year.

Please arrive about 10 minutes before departure to check in. Fall charters run cooler than summer — dress warmly in layers, and bring a hat and gloves if you run cold. Sunglasses and sunscreen are still recommended on clear days.
Look for the Casco Bay Legacy Charters boat at the SouthPort Marine docks. Park on A Street or B Street near the marina and walk to the end of B Street — the dock gate is locked, and our staff will meet you there.
