Opis

Hotel pickup in Hakone. Visit the Hakone Open-Air Museum, Pola Museum of Art and Lalique Museum with entries included, then return to your hotel.
We pick up your group at your Hakone hotel at 09:00. Hakone is not only hot springs and lakes. It is also home to some of the best art museums in Japan, set in forests and gardens. Today you visit three of them at an easy pace.

First we drive to the Hakone Open-Air Museum in Ninotaira. You walk through a large hillside park with more than 100 sculptures, a Picasso hall and a tall stained-glass tower you can climb inside. There is also a free foot bath. About two hours, entry is included.

Around midday we drive into the forest of Sengokuhara. You visit the Pola Museum of Art, a glass building hidden in the trees, with paintings by Monet, Renoir and Japanese artists. A forest walk path starts beside the museum. About 90 minutes, entry is included.

Lunch is in the Pola Museum restaurant or a cafe in Sengokuhara.

In the afternoon you visit the Lalique Museum Hakone, with glass art and jewelry by Rene Lalique and a real Orient Express carriage decorated with his glass panels. About one hour, museum entry is included.

On the way back, if time allows, we stop at the Sengokuhara pampas grass field or the shore of Lake Ashi for a short walk. You are back at your hotel about 8 hours after pickup.

Your plan is customizable: on the day you can change the order of museums, stay longer at one of them, skip one, or swap in a nearby museum such as the Narukawa Art Museum or the Okada Museum of Art. The area and the tour time stay the same.

This is a private tour. Only your group.

At the end of the day we drive you back to your hotel.

If one of the three museums is closed or cancelled on your date, you can take a full refund of your booking, guaranteed. If you prefer, we can instead visit the Narukawa Art Museum or another Hakone museum in its place.
