Explore Munich's Old Town on a private guided tour. Enjoy a traditional Bavarian breakfast and lunch, see the city's main sights, and walk along the Isar River to the English Garden.
Experience the best that Munich has to offer in a day. After meeting your guide in the old town you will begin your day tucking into traditional Munich Weißwurst (White Sausage) breakfast in the heart of the old town. Then, set off on a 3-hour tour of Munich's old city, where you'll discover all the main sights and many of its hidden gems as you learn about the origins of the city of Munich, the rise of the Nazi party, and the damage done in World War II. Discuss local culture, including beer brewing, beer halls, and lederhosen. Visit sites like the Viktualienmarkt, the Frauenkirche, St. Peter's Church, Hofbräuhaus, Marienplatz, Odeonsplatz, and the site of the Beer Hall Putsch. Afterwards, you will have lunch together with your guide in one of the city's traditional beer halls.
Then walk off your lunch with a stroll along one of Munich's most beautiful tourist free paths by the River Isar where you will pass some of the city's most beautiful, yet often missed sites, such as the Volksbad, the Maximilianeum (The Bavarian Parliament), and the Angel of Peace. Continue to the Englischer Garten to see the surfers' wave before walking through the famous park to end your tour at the famous Chinese Tower beer garden.
Please note this tour is very adaptable so all dietary requirements can be easily met. The itinerary can also be changed i.e Lunch can also be switched from a seat down meal to street food and the tour’s history can be more focused on a particular topic i.e medieval munich or Third Reich history.
