Opis
Travel by coach from Milan to Tirano, then ride the Bernina Red Train over the 2,253 m Bernina Pass to St. Moritz. Return via the Maloja Pass and Lake Como.
Leave Milan by air-conditioned coach and travel through the Valtellina valley to Tirano, the Italian starting point of the Bernina Railway. Here you board the famous red train, with your ticket and reserved seat already included.
This UNESCO World Heritage line, the same one used by the Bernina Express, climbs from Tirano to the 2,253-meter Bernina Pass. Pass the Brusio spiral viaduct, the turquoise waters of Lago Bianco and views of the Morteratsch Glacier. In the standard carriage the windows open, so you can take photos without glass reflections.
Arrive in St. Moritz, the resort town that has drawn royalty and Olympic champions since the 19th century. Enjoy free time on the lakeside promenade or in the town center.
In the afternoon, your coach takes a different road home: down the Maloja Pass, through the Bregaglia valley and along the shores of Lake Como, arriving in Milan in the early evening. It is a full loop, with no road traveled twice.
A licensed English-speaking guide accompanies you all day, with radio headsets so you hear every commentary clearly.

WAŻNE INFORMACJE
A valid passport or EU ID card is required for all travelers, including children (border crossing into Switzerland)
Dress in warm layers: temperatures at the Bernina Pass can be much colder than in Milan
Wear comfortable walking shoes
The Standard option uses a 2nd-class carriage with opening windows; the Bernina Express option uses panoramic carriages
On some dates the route runs in reverse: coach to St. Moritz first, then the train from St. Moritz to Tirano
In winter, snow and weather can affect road and rail timings; your guide may adjust the schedule for safety
Suitcases are welcome: they stay safely stored in the coach for the whole trip
The tour starts and ends at Piazza IV Novembre in Milan
With the Albula option, the train runs St. Moritz – Thusis (or Thusis – St. Moritz on some dates) instead of Tirano – St. Moritz; the coach covers the rest of the route
Facing Milano Centrale station:
- Hotel Gallia is on your left
- Piazza IV Novembre is right next to it: this is our meeting point
Look for your guide and the coach with the Amovi Tours sign.
