Hike to the Kawah Ijen crater to witness the rare Blue Fire phenomenon. Enjoy a sunrise view over the turquoise lake and visit the unique Kalipait Waterfall.
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Banyuwangi Kota at 11:45 PM. Drive for about 1.5 hours to the starting point of the Kawah Ijen hike.
At 2:00 AM, start your hike under the night sky. It takes about 2–3 hours to reach the summit. On the way, go down into the crater for about 30 minutes to see the famous Blue Fire, a rare natural phenomenon only found in Ijen.
After that, climb back up to the summit in time to watch the sunrise and enjoy the view of the turquoise crater lake. Spend about 1 hour at the top before heading back down. The descent to the parking lot takes around 2 hours.
From there, continue with a short 20-minute drive to Kalipait Waterfall, one of the most unique waterfalls in Indonesia because of its sulfur-rich water. Stay here for about 30 minutes before returning to your hotel, where the tour ends.
