Opis

Experience a Himalayan sunrise from Nagarkot and hike through pine forests and terraced farmland to Rani Jhula Bridge. Visit the UNESCO-listed Changunarayan Temple on this guided tour.
Begin your day before dawn with a drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot, a hill station where you'll watch one of the finest sunrises over the Himalayas. Perched at around 2,175 meters, Nagarkot offers views of up to eight mountain ranges, including Everest and Annapurna on clear days. As the sun rises, the snow-capped peaks shift from dark silhouettes to pink before turning brilliant white.

From Nagarkot, descend through pine forests and terraced farmland toward Rani Jhula. Rani Jhula is a 250-meter-long suspension bridge that's become one of the signature landmarks of this route. Cross the bridge to get a great vantage over the valley below and enjoy a natural highlight and rest stop partway through the hike.

Along the way from Gadade down to the bridge, pass through small local villages and farmland, with terraced fields and traditional Newari architecture giving a real sense of rural Kathmandu Valley life.

After crossing Rani Jhula, switch to a vehicle for the drive to Changunarayan. This keeps the hiking portion focused on the most scenic stretch while saving time and energy for the temple visit.

Changunarayan Temple is Nepal's oldest Hindu temple and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's known for housing some of Nepal's oldest stone inscriptions, and the temple complex and its museum are known for intricate wood and stone carvings, offering a rewarding cultural finish to the trip.
