Experience an authentic Arctic adventure with a guided snowshoe hike by FRAMTours on the island of Kvaløya, just a few kilometers from Tromsø. This experience is designed for those who want to immerse themselves in the unspoiled nature of the North, away from tourist traffic and in the complete silence of snow-covered landscapes.

After a comfortable transfer from Tromsø by minivan, you'll reach one of the beautiful routes of Kvaløya, chosen according to the weather conditions and the group's level. Once you've put on your snowshoes, your guide will take you on a walk through snow-covered hills, silent forests, and spectacular viewpoints from which you can admire fjords, mountains, and, if the sky is clear, even the nearby islands.

During the journey, you'll stop to take photos, listen to interesting facts about the local fauna, and enjoy the scenery. Halfway through, FRAMTours offers a break with hot drinks and local sweets (like lefse or homemade cake), to be enjoyed while sitting on the snow with a view.

The hike has a leisurely pace, suitable for most people with a basic level of fitness. No experience is required: the guide provides all the necessary instructions and complete equipment (snowshoes and poles). Just dress appropriately with warm, waterproof clothes and snow boots.
If you're lucky, you might spot reindeer, moose, and birds of prey like sea eagles and ravens during your hike.
