Start early in the heart of Lucerne and head to Chapel Bridge, an iconic wooden bridge with painted panels. Visit early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Next, head to the nearby Water Tower, a great photo spot.

Explore the colorful streets, fountains, and squares of the Old Town (Altstadt). Don’t miss Weinmarkt Square and the historic buildings. Then, visit the famous Lion Monument, a sculpture carved in rock. Spend around 20–30 minutes here.

Take a break and relax by Lake Lucerne. Walk along the promenade or sit at a café. If you want to see more of the lake, take an optional 1-hour boat cruise.

For a snow and glacier experience, take the rotating cable car (Rotair) to Mount Titlis. Experience snow even in summer.

Return to Lucerne in the evening and take a stroll by the lake. Capture sunset photos before heading to a lakeside restaurant for dinner. Try Swiss dishes like cheese fondue and rösti.
