We are local astronomers, born and living in the mountains of the island. From prime viewpoints, where we grew up far from light pollution, we'll take you on a journey through the stars, just as the ancient settlers of Gran Canaria observed them. A passionate journey through the stars, planets, star clusters, nebulae, bright galaxies, and the Moon. An authentic, educational, and sustainable experience under one of the best skies in Europe.

In 2021, we won the STARLIGHT Award in Astrotourism and Business Development linked to the protection of the night sky from the StarLight Foundation of the Canary Islands Institute of Astrophysics (IAC).

We start shortly after sunset, when the sky begins to fill with stars. Our meeting place will be in the higher part of Gran Canaria, near the Llanos de la Pez. Participants will receive the exact location, as it may vary according to weather conditions. Our observation points are dynamic, from selected outdoor viewpoints, prioritizing the quality of the sky and the best observational conditions. To participate, you must have your own vehicle, which will give you complete autonomy. You can ask us about transfer options by taxi or bus

The magic begins with the first stars. We conduct a visual tour with a powerful astro laser, highlighting the sky of Gran Canaria, showing and identifying the constellations and bright stars, and interpreting it as the ancient settlers of Gran Canaria did from our Sacred Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll learn in an educational way how to locate the North Star and understand the changes in the sky. We'll talk about meteor showers, comets, and eclipses. We'll learn how stars are born and die, observe our galaxy, the Milky Way, and answer any questions or concerns about the universe.

Then we'll begin a spectacular tour with the telescopes of the main celestial objects visible at that time, documenting each one of them. Not only will you observe the generic objects of non-specialized Astro Tours, but our astronomer will also show you objects reserved for experienced observers that are spectacular and of great scientific value.

At the end, we'll give you a gift: we'll take a photo of each family using advanced astrophotography techniques and a professional camera. An unforgettable memory for a lifetime with the stars of Gran Canaria. The high-resolution image is sent by email a few days after the activity

Our Astro Tours have a duration of 2 full hours from the start of the activity. As the activity takes place at a high altitude, warm clothing is essential, even in summer. If you need extra clothes or a chair, you can request them at no additional cost. We will do our best to make sure you enjoy our stars in comfort.

Depending on the season and the night, the visibility of the Moon or planets will vary.
