Join us on a full-day guided hike to one of Lapland’s hidden gems – the remote mountain lake Inkanjaure. This peaceful place lies deep in the mountains outside Abisko, far from the busy trails, where the Arctic landscape opens up into wide valleys, rolling ridges and silent waters.

Our journey begins with a short transfer from Abisko or Björkliden before we set off on foot. The trail leads through beautiful mountain birch forest, across open tundra and gentle ridgelines with ever-changing views of the surrounding peaks.

Along the way your guide will share stories about the geology, wildlife and history of the area, shaped by glaciers during the last ice age. Keep your eyes open for wildlife – reindeer, ptarmigan and sometimes even moose are known to roam these quiet valleys.

After several hours of hiking we reach the secluded lake Inkanjaure, a place few visitors ever discover. Here we take a well-earned break and enjoy a traditional outdoor lunch: Swedish kolbulle with lingonberries, cooked and served in the wilderness.

Surrounded by mountains and silence, this is the perfect moment to relax, explore the shoreline and take in the untouched Arctic scenery.

Nearby you can still find traces of historic copper exploration, reminders of past dreams of mining in this remote landscape.

After lunch we begin our return hike, carrying with us memories of Lapland’s wild beauty before the transfer takes us back to Abisko and Björkliden.
