Begin your day with a relaxing boat cruise across the deep turquoise waters of Lake Thun. Feel the refreshing summer breeze on deck as you pass charming lakeside châteaux and traditional Swiss villages, framed by the soaring Alps.

Your first stop is the mystical St. Beatus Caves. According to local legend, a dragon once lived here before being chased away by Saint Beatus. Walk along well-lit pathways inside the mountain, discovering massive stalactites, stalagmites, and roaring underground waterfalls.

After emerging from the caves, hop back on the boat to complete your cruise to the vibrant hub of Interlaken. From here, the journey shifts from water to rails. Step back in time as you board the historic, open-top cogwheel railway heading up to Schynige Platte.

Reaching an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters, Schynige Platte offers some of the most iconic, unobstructed vistas in the country. To celebrate your alpine arrival, your guide will set up a traditional Swiss picnic. Find a spot on the lush green meadows, look out over the twin lakes of Thun and Brienz, and savor a curated selection of local Swiss cheeses, fresh bread, cured meats, and seasonal treats.

Spend the rest of the afternoon strolling through the Alpine Botanical Garden or taking a short, panoramic ridge walk before heading back down to Interlaken with your guide.
