Day 1: Bagdogra Airport (IXB) to Phuentsholing

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and meet your representative/driver. Begin your scenic drive towards Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan by road. Pass through the foothills of North Bengal and the Dooars region, with lush forests, tea gardens, and scenic landscapes along the way.

On reaching Phuentsholing, complete the necessary entry formalities and check in to your hotel. Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in Phuentsholing.

Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Enjoy the picturesque mountain drive through Bhutan's changing landscapes, with scenic stops depending on road and traffic conditions.

Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in and relax. Later, proceed for sightseeing depending on arrival time. Visit the Buddha Dordenma Statue, Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, and a local market or handicraft area. Spend the evening exploring the peaceful streets of Thimphu.

Day 3: Punakha Excursion from Thimphu

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. The journey takes you through the spectacular Dochula Pass, known for its 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens and Himalayan views.

Continue towards Punakha and visit the Punakha Dzong, Punakha Suspension Bridge, and the scenic Punakha Valley. Take an optional short local walk, depending on time, and visit Chimi Lhakhang, if time permits. After sightseeing, return to Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu to Paro and Sightseeing

After breakfast, check out and proceed towards Paro. Depending on time, cover any remaining Thimphu attractions before departure. Upon arrival in Paro, begin sightseeing. Visit Rinpung Dzong, the National Museum, Paro town, and a local market.

Enjoy the scenic Paro Valley surrounded by mountains. Check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 5: Tiger’s Nest Hike and Paro

After an early breakfast, prepare for the highlight of the journey, the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Lhakhang). Drive to the trailhead and begin the uphill hike through pine-covered mountains, with several viewpoints along the route.

The trail leads to Taktsang Monastery, dramatically situated on a cliff above the Paro Valley. After exploring the monastery, descend to the base and return to Paro. Spend the remaining time at leisure or explore Paro town.

Day 6: Paro to Bagdogra Airport (IXB)

After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey towards Bagdogra Airport (IXB). Enjoy the scenic drive through Bhutan and the Dooars region before reaching Phuentsholing. After completing the required border formalities, continue towards Bagdogra Airport.
