Day 1: Arrival in Tel Aviv and Gardens

Arrive in Tel Aviv and enjoy a private airport transfer. Visit the Roman ruins, theater, and aqueduct of Caesarea, one of the ancient world's most impressive port cities. Continue to Haifa to see the stunning Baha'i Gardens. End the day with a welcome dinner at your hotel in Nazareth.

Day 2: Sea of Galilee

Drive to Capernaum, a little fishing village where Jesus lived after leaving Nazareth, and tour the ancient synagogue where he taught. Enjoy a private cruise on the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus walked on water. Take a step into a Franciscan church built into a rolling hillside on the way back to Nazareth for the night.

Day 3: Old City Jerusalem

Visit the Temple Mount, Western "Wailing" Wall, and Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Old City is a living tapestry of faith, history, and culture where three of the world's great religions converge within ancient stone walls.

Day 4: More Jerusalem Highlights

Continue experiencing the story-filled Old City Jerusalem. Visit St. Anne's Church and the Bethesda Pool, then stroll the Via Dolorosa — the path Jesus walked carrying the cross. Refugee camp home visit in Palestine.

Day 5: Bethlehem and Float in the Dead Sea

Make your way to Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity, the traditional birthplace of Jesus. On the way, make a pit stop to float in the Dead Sea.

Day 6: Transfer to Jordan, Madaba, Mt. Nebo, and Petra

Check out and transfer to the King Hussein (Allenby) border crossing into Jordan. Visit Mount Nebo, one of the most revered holy sites of Jordan and the place where Moses was buried. A small Byzantine church built by early Christians has been expanded into a vast complex; the Late Pope John Paul II held a sermon here in 2001 attended by some 20,000 faithful.

Day 7: Petra Visit and Wadi Rum

Explore the Red Rose City of Petra, one of the greatest wonders ever wrought by Nature and Man. Enter through the Siq, a narrow gorge over 1 kilometer long flanked by soaring 80-meter high cliffs. Catch your first glimpse of Al-Khazneh (the Treasury), then discover hundreds of elaborate rock-cut tombs, a massive Roman-style theater seating 3,000, obelisks, temples, sacrificial altars, and colonnaded streets.

Day 8: Wadi Rum Exploration

After breakfast, explore Wadi Rum in a 4×4 for 2 hours. This is a stupendous, timeless place, virtually untouched by humanity.

Day 9: Wadi Rum and Amman

Continue exploring Wadi Rum with a 2-hour camel ride through the desert before heading to Amman, the capital of Jordan. Visit the Citadel, Archaeological Museum, Roman Amphitheater, and Folklore Museum. Amman is a multi-cultural, multi-denominational city where elegant white-stone buildings line the streets.

Day 10: Departure

Transfer to Amman Queen Alia International Airport for departure with the assistance of your Shepherds Tours representative.
