One of Nepal's most rewarding mid-altitude journeys combining natural beauty with spiritual significance. The route takes you through peaceful forests, Buddhist villages, and culminates at the sacred Gosaikunda Lake - believed created by Lord Shiva and a major pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu and be picked up from the airport. Transfer to your hotel and meet your guide for a trek briefing. Spend the evening exploring the vibrant Thamel district at your leisure.
Day 2: Drive Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,460m)
Embark on a scenic drive through hills and villages to the riverside town of Syabrubesi. Enjoy the views of the countryside along the way.
Day 3: Trek Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,470m)
Begin your trek by following the Langtang River through oak and bamboo forests. Keep an eye out for wildlife as you make your way to Lama Hotel.
Day 4: Trek Lama Hotel to Mundu (3,543m)
Pass through Ghora Tabela to wide yak pastures. Walk through the old Langtang Village, an earthquake memorial site, to the traditional stone houses of Mundu.
Day 5: Trek Mundu to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m)
Walk through yak pastures and mani walls to reach an ancient monastery and a famous yak cheese factory.
Day 6: Hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m)
Challenge yourself with a rewarding climb to Kyanjin Ri for spectacular Himalayan views, including Langtang Lirung.
Day 7: Trek Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,470m)
Retrace your steps with different perspective views. Enjoy a long but easier descent back to Lama Hotel.
Day 8: Trek Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,230m)
Take a different route via Dobhan, climbing through the forest to a hillside village with views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal.
Day 9: Trek Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3,330m)
Trek through terraced fields and traditional Tamang villages to reach a ridge-top location.
Day 10: Trek Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4,380m)
Reach the sacred crystal-clear Gosaikunda Lake, surrounded by prayer flags. This holy pilgrimage site is a highlight of the trek.
Day 11: Cross Laurebina La Pass to Ghopte (3,430m)
Explore sacred lakes, cross the highest pass at 4,642m, and descend through a narrow valley to Ghopte.
Day 12: Trek Ghopte to Melamchi Gaon (2,530m)
Enjoy a pleasant forest descent to the picturesque village of Melamchi Gaon, with its monastery and terraced fields.
Day 13: Trek Melamchi Gaon to Tarkeghyang (2,560m)
Cross the Melamchi River and climb through the Hyolmo heartland, passing chortens and mani walls.
Day 14: Trek Tarkeghyang to Kathmandu via Timbu
Make your final descent to Timbu and drive back to Kathmandu. Celebrate your trek with a dinner in Thamel.
Day 15: Departure
Transfer to the airport for your international departure or continue your adventures in Nepal.
