Day 1: Kathmandu UNESCO Heritage Sites

Perched on a hilltop, this sacred stupa offers panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. Walk around the stupa, observe prayer wheels, colorful prayer flags, and experience the peaceful spiritual atmosphere.

Next, continue to Pashupatinath Temple, the most sacred Hindu temple in Nepal located on the banks of the Bagmati River. Here, observe traditional temple rituals, sadhus, and the cultural significance of Hindu cremation practices along the riverbank from designated viewing areas, under your guide’s supervision.

Afterward, visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and a major center of Tibetan Buddhism. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the stupa and take time for lunch at one of the rooftop restaurants offering views of the monument and surrounding hills.

Early in the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel for a scenic drive toward Nagarkot, one of the most popular Himalayan viewpoints near Kathmandu. Enjoy a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayan range, including views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Everest region peaks on clear days.

After sunrise, continue to Changunarayan Temple, the oldest Hindu temple in the Kathmandu Valley and a UNESCO World Heritage Site dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
