From Muscat: Rustaq Trenches, Nakal Fort & Hujrat AlShaikh

I. Khanadeq Al Hawqin:
Leave the crowds and discover a spectacular world of rocky canyons, narrow passages, breathtaking mountain scenery, and naturally formed pools containing sulfur-rich water. The experience combines light hiking, canyon exploration, and swimming, making it ideal for travelers looking for an authentic outdoor experience away from the usual tourist attractions.

II. Al Hashah Old Village (Optional Stop):
After completing our adventure at Khanadeq Al Hawqin, we have the option to make a short photo and sightseeing stop at Al Hashah Old Village, depending on the guests’ preference. This optional visit offers a wonderful opportunity to step back in time and discover a glimpse of Oman’s rich heritage and traditional way of life.
Explore the historic surroundings and admire the remains of traditional Omani houses, where the village’s unique setting and ancient architecture tell the story of generations who once lived there. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, Al Hashah Old Village brings together history, culture, and nature in one memorable experience

III. Ain Al Kasfah:
After our optional photo and sightseeing stop at Al Hashah Old Village, we continue to Al Kasfah Hot Spring, one of Rustaq’s most well-known natural attractions. Take a moment to discover this remarkable natural spring, where warm water emerges from beneath the mountains. The water reaches around 45°C (113°F) at the source and is naturally rich in sulfur and other minerals.
For guests who would like to experience the spring more closely, swimming is optional, and there is a designated area where visitors can enjoy the warm spring water at their own preference. Guests who prefer not to swim can simply relax, explore the surroundings, and take photographs.

IV. Nakhal Fort:
After we visit Nakhal Fort, one of Oman’s most impressive historic landmarks. Located in Wilayat Nakhal in Al Batinah South. Perched dramatically on a rocky outcrop at the foot of the Hajar Mountains, the fort offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and the village of Nakhal.
As we explore the fort, guests can discover its ancient rooms, towers, courtyards. Take your time to walk through the fort, admire the traditional Omani architecture, and capture memorable photographs of the surrounding mountains and palm plantations.

V. Hujrat Al Shaikh:
Take a relaxing walk through Hujrat Al Shaikh and experience a more authentic side of Oman. Stroll along the local walkway, pass through lush palm trees, and see where locals gather and enjoy their daily surroundings. This peaceful stop offers a genuine glimpse into traditional Omani village life, nature, and local culture.
