Duração:
3 dias
Descrição
Embark on a 3-day adventure in the Amazon jungle from Iquitos. Explore the rainforest, swim with pink dolphins, visit Monkey Island, and learn survival skills with a local guide.
Day 1:
Begin your adventure with a transfer to Nauta, where you'll board a boat to your lodge. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy a delicious lunch.
After lunch, embark on a boat excursion in search of monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths, and other wildlife. As the sun sets, head out in a canoe for a nighttime caiman-spotting adventure. End the day with a delicious dinner.
Day 2:
After breakfast, set off on a jungle hike. Learn how the locals use and read the jungle, discover medicinal plants, and find out how to communicate with the help of the trees. Learn which plants to use to protect yourself from a jaguar and how to identify the diverse flora and fauna, such as the different species of giant trees like the Lupuna (Ceiba tree) and the possibility of seeing animals like monkeys, snakes, and birds.
Learn about the medicinal plants used by locals to cure diseases, as well as the traditional aphrodisiac drinks made from the bark and roots of trees.
Next, enjoy a survival skills class and learn how to survive in the jungle and how to use what nature gives you for your benefit. Take advantage of the walk to collect some typical jungle foods, such as chonta and mushrooms, which you will eat for lunch.
After lunch, head back to the Amazon River to swim with pink river dolphins. Then, make a brief stop on the banks of a tributary river for a mud treatment at the local spa. Immerse yourself in the mud and let your skin absorb all the nutrients and minerals.
After dinner, head out with your flashlights and walk through the jungle at night in search of anacondas, tarantulas, scorpions, snakes, and giant frogs.
Day 3:
Begin the day with an early morning canoe trip to enjoy the sunrise before breakfast. Look out for macaws, toucans, shansho, the harpy eagle, and the camungo. Watch in awe as flocks of winged warblers fill the jungle in search of food.
Before breakfast, visit Monkey Island and interact with the monkeys by feeding them fruits that you bring for them. Play with the monkeys before enjoying breakfast.
After breakfast, get ready to fish for the infamous piranhas in the dark tributaries of the Amazon. Known for their sharp teeth and insatiable and aggressive appetite for meat and blood, piranhas have gained some prominence in popular culture, both in film and literature and television.
After the water activities, the sunset offers a moment of contemplation. The colors of the sky reflected in the river provide a tranquil and memorable experience. Return to Iquitos.
