Begin your adventure with an early morning boat trip from Coron Town or a resort in Busuanga. Be accompanied by a licensed guide and local spotter who are trained to locate dugongs safely and respectfully.
Stay on the boat or snorkel nearby when a dugong is spotted. If you're a certified diver, descend gently and observe the dugong feeding from a respectful distance (usually 5–10 meters).
After the dugong encounter, stop by nearby islands such as Dimipac Island or Black Island for lunch, swimming, and relaxation.
Enjoy the best time to visit from October to May, when the seas are calm and visibility is clear. While sightings are not 100% guaranteed, they are very common with experienced local guides.
