The Underground River Tour was absolutely breathtaking. Cruising the dark caves and seeing the massive rock formations up close felt like stepping into another world.
Your day starts with an early hotel pick-up in Puerto Princesa, followed by a scenic 2 hour van ride through Palawan's countryside to Sabang Wharf. Upon arrival your guide will register you at Sabang booking office and where your guide will brief you on safety and the day's itinerary.
After that you will board to a motorized boat for a short 45minutes going to Underground River National Park. Along the way keep an eye out for monkeys, monitor Lizards, and exotic birds. at the cave entrance, you will ride a paddle boat where the local guide will take you inside the Underground River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
Inside the cave the guide uses a spotlight to reveal towering stalactites, stalagmites, Cathedral-like chambers, and a unique rock formations shaped over millions of years .
After 45 minutes cave tour you'll return to Sabang wharf for a simple Filipno Buffet Lunch; and then the guide will take you for Sabang Zipline . You'll be harnessed across a 800meter line high above the turquoise water and lush coastline with panoramic view of sabang beach.
After this activity you'll return to Puerto Princesa City proper and drop to your hotel accommodation that you leave with incredible photos, a deeper appreciation for Palawan's Natural wonders, and the stories you'll tell long after the trip ends.
